IECEE CB Accreditation

UL International NZ Limited operates as a CB Laboratory from its Auckland facility, ie is a member of the IECEE CB Scheme.

In its operation as CB Laboratory, UL International NZ works in conjunction with National Certifying Body (NCBs) UL DEMKO in Denmark for the following product categories;

  • HOUS (household appliances),
  • OFF (office products),
  • MED (for medical products).

Senior staff are members of several IECEE Expert Task Forces (ETF’s) covering the standards within our scope of operation..

The CB Scheme is administered by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for the international recognition of electrical equipment test results.

The CB Scheme is based on the principle of mutual recognition and acceptance of reports; and CB Test Reports and their accompanying CB Certificates are accepted in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Manufacturers accessing multiple markets who use the CB Scheme as the basis of their product testing philosophy stand to gain significant savings in cost, time and effort. The principle is one test for several markets. In practice additional testing is often required, but significantly less than if each market is addressed separately.
